The Federation is an independent charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The organization is run by
a volunteer staff who dedicate many hours of their time for the betterment of our communities’ youth.

The Formation of the Federation

The Youth Football and Cheer Federation of America, Inc. was formed in November of 2010 to support the wishes and desires of several team presidents to have an alternative to the now defunct Youth Football League (YFL), and its leadership that offered equal and fair treatment to all member organizations. Thus, with approximately 10 out of 21 YFL organizations contacting Edward Hart, YFL Co-Founder and League Commissioner to start a new league, and the apparent perpetual issues and concerns with the YFL's leadership, the Federation was born. Almost immediately after the initial announcements of the existence of the Federation, several other organizations around the metropolitan area expressed interest in joining the Federation.

Our Mission and Objectives

The Federation is organized to further the competitive skills and the ideals of the game of Football; to inspire youth to exhibit good sportsmanship, teamwork, high moral standards, and the importance of education.
Our objectives are to build programs that contribute positively to the growth and development of our participants. To instill virtues that will help them grow into responsible adults and team players.
The Dawn of a New Era in Youth Football Has Arrived......
From The Fallen Rises A New Threat. We Stand United!!!

Our Programs

The Federation focuses its programs toward youth from ages 4 to 13 years old. Participation in the two main programs (football & cheerleading) also bring access to many other competitive, social, and educational opportunities for our children.
Youth Tackle Football
The Federation's tackle football program is designed as a "competitive" sports activity, which operates under the base rule set of the NCAA with appropriate modifications to account for the young people we serve.

Youth Cheerleading
The Federation's youth cheerleading program includes many opportunities for development, and also provides a chance to compete in events locally and around the country.

Youth 7v7 Football
The Federation's Spring 7v7 football program is designed as a developmental sports activity with a high-level of competition as well. It is designed to focus on the passing game to match today's high-flying passing philosophies of high school and college coaches.

Coach and Player Development
The Federation has partnered with USA Football to provide additional training programs to facilitate the continued growth and development of both players and coaches.

Academic Excellence
The Federation encourages all of its member organizations to emphasize academic excellence during their time spent with the participating youngsters. The "Federation Academic Excellence Award". This award is intended to recognize all our youth participants for excellence in the classroom.

Community Service
The Federation supports charitable giving and sharing with its participants and staff members in an effort to teach the virtues of giving back to the community.

YFF Foundation
The Federation formed the YFF Foundation with the intent to assist a deserving individual, family, and/or group that may be having difficulties in various areas of their lives.
