Cheerleading
The Federation's youth cheerleading program includes many opportunities for development, and also provides a chance to compete in events locally and around the country. The Federation provides a training camp for all participants and an end-of-year cheer competition. Our enthusiastic Cheer Director has fostered a relationship with another local advocate for cheerleading and they coordinate an "All-Star" cheer performance during the Super Bowl.
Our Cheer Program includes hosting several educational activities and an ever-growing cheer competition. We arrange coaching clinics for cheer coaches in an effort to advance the skills of our volunteers who are charged with teaching our cheerleaders the basics and advanced techniques. We also sponsor a summer cheer camp to emphasize the basics of cheer and to develop a joint cheer routine that can be used by individual cheer squads to build on for competition. The year concludes with CheerXtreme, the premier youth cheerleading competition in the Houston Metropolitan area.
